Sustainability
How about making food waste “disappear” from every kitchen and abolishing landfills from the face of the Earth at the same time?
Being part of every step of the way from bringing this start-up idea to a mature business was an invaluable and rewarding experience. We’ll need many more ideas like this if we are going to tackle the big climate challenges brewing in the horizon ─ I’m ready to be part of the solution!

Why it matters to me? Taking a leaf out of Treebeard’s book ─ because I’m a part of this world!
Now, why Sustainability matters? I’d hope the answer should be obvious, but William James’ Pragmatism applied to the worst case scenario of either “taking it seriously now” or “continuing to kick the can down the road” should be enough to convince any human being why this matters… Happy to have the long version of the conversation any time!

One thing I learned working in the field of sustainability ─ there is no silver bullet and we need to work together to create change.
From rethinking mobility to turning food waste into a new resource, we need to redesign our economy in a way that it favors circularity.
Willingness to change is key and we all know it is a rare commodity!

It brings all the familiar things we already thought of (or forgot): conscientious waste disposal, less commuting, collective commuting, more local supply chains, electrification, a hard no against deforestation, things that last longer, things that can be repaired…
The magic of Anaerobic Digestion
Grind2Energy Food Waste Recycling Equipment ─ sustainable infrastructure that can be built into facilities where food waste is generated. This equipment processes food waste into an energy-rich slurry ready for Anaerobic Digestion. InSinkErator’s Grind2Energy allows grocery stores, stadiums, dining halls and other commercial foodservice establishments to divert their waste from landfills and generate bioenergy to offset fossil fuels.
Grind2Energy was featured in the 2021 EPA report, a big success for our team. We are just scratching the surface of what can be done to reduce, reuse and recycle. Using food waste as a renewable energy source is the battle I’m currently fighting!
