Emerging Technologies

We need materials and processes that favor cradle-to-cradle; to rethink mobility; and to figure out how to suppress cosmic radiation on Mars to help the colony save sunscreen. We need fusion and widespread electrification ─ we need to get to work!

Together, we’ll turn ideas into reality. Let’s build tools with real impact that can help us do more, waste less and and bring us to where we haven’t been.

  • I’m a builder with a geeky mind, a perseverant heart, an unquenchable curiosity and a healthy level of constant disappointment with the status-quo.

  • Only by seeing past what we think we know, we can allow ourselves to not drive, but be driven; to not be there, but be present; to not transport, but deliver; to not make, but create.

  • Well, just to list a few: driverless rideshare fleets, ion-drive commercial aviation, groundbreaking protein structure prediction algorithms, Artemis Accords, an ansible, the James Webb Space Telescope, comprehensive in-site resource utilization systems, photosynthesizing algae-tadpole hybrids, etc…

  • Sharpening the Edge

Modelling is a beautiful art and it’s as endless as the possibilities of reality. All human technology is based on models of nature. Only by pushing our models we can push ourselves to accomplish what once had been just an ambitious idea or mere sci-fi speculation.

  • Keep Flying

A passion that started early: a kid that disassembled every single home appliance there is and only learned years later how to put them back together; an undergrad that discovered the beauty of flight dynamics; an engineer that knows the sky has no limit. We are we flying next?

  • Operational Technology, IoT and Beyond

The recent revolution in Business Intelligence applications is a stark reminder of the difference between data and information. However, crushing the spreadsheet crunching culture and embracing decision driving dataflows is more than an elementary endeavor.

The Flight Simulator

There was no better capstone project than a 25-state-variable, real-time flight simulator written in MATLAB, integrated with a PlayStation joystick built from the complete, non-linear equations of motion, and with a self-proposed analytical solution method (down to one 6th-degree polynomial on the velocity) for all steady state regimes and their respective dynamic stability simulations.
